MOQ and Lead Time:

At NFC Direct we 'produce to order' to allow for customisations. Due to this our lead times can be longer than usual. Please let us know if you plan to have regular orders of this product and we will be able to reduce the lead time.

Our Tamper Proof NFC Tags can prove brand authentication, and offer a secure method of consumer interaction with products such as high-value retail items. Any attempt to tamper or remove the Tag will trigger the self-destruction of the circuit that is incorporated inside the Tag, making the Tag non-readable and failing an authentication check.

Tamper Proof NFC Tags are suitable for application on items such as Jewellery, Watches, Wine and Cosmetics, and are mounted using a permanent, high performance self-adhesive. The Tags can be used to relay information to the end-user, such as promotional material and product information, enhancing consumer engagement.

To have a logo or specific design printed on your Tamper Proof NFC Tags please select 'Full Colour Print' in the drop down above. We can print anything you desire, whether that be your logo, messages, photos or marketing designs. This is an ideal way to ensure that your branding and messages are consistent, to highlight your company and to encourage the engagement with your customers or workforce like never before.

Please note: If the Tag size or shape you require is not listed above please contact us and we will see what can be achieved. Please bear in mind when enquiring for custom sized Tags that the MOQ is 10,000 units for sizes up to 100x100mm and 20,000 units for sizes over 100x100mm. There is a tooling fee of 1,000 for the new size or shape and the lead time is in between 25 to 30 working days.

TagTamper ('TT'):

For those who are not familiar with TagTamper we have given a brief description below of what it entails. 

To have this option along with your Tags please select the 'TT' option under 'Integrated Circuit' above.

TagTamper Tags can be split in half (separated). They are incorporated with two different chips that have two different types of memory, unlike with Tags that have no TagTamper which only have one option for memory. The two different chips are as follows:

  • Memory for marketing material such as a link (URL) to your website for your consumers to scan the product with their smartphone. 
  • Memory that informs the chip that the circuit (Tag) has been separated (broken), and the product has either been tampered with along the production and supply chain process, or opened by the end consumer, which is the most desired outcome.

The chip that has the link to the marketing material will stay in place even once the packaging or item has been opened and the circuit will not be broken to allow users to still access the marketing material. But for the chip that has the TagTamper function, this circuit will break once the packaging or item has been opened.  

In general, TagTamper Tags are used to detect the opening of packaging or other types of products that are sealed. Examples include around a lid on a bottle, and as the lid is opened the TagTamper loop will break. TagTamper Tags can also work well with single-use ticketing and vouchers.

By using our excellent encoding service we can encode your NFC Products so they are ready to use as soon as they arrive at your door. If you do require your products encoded, please select the encoding option from the drop-down above and upload your encoding data by clicking on the 'Add File' button underneath. Your data can be in a spreadsheet or text document, or you can use our handy Encoding Template, which includes six example pages to get you started.

Artwork File:
To upload your artwork file simply click on the 'Add File' button underneath the drop-down above. Or alternatively you can upload your file in your account area after checkout.

Artwork Requirements:
To get optimum printing results for your products we require your artwork file to be in a vector based file format such as .pdf, .ai or .eps. with a bleed line of 3mm. Please see an artwork checklist below for our preferred artwork layout:
  1. Set up document to correct size
  2. Colour – CMYK
  3. Bleed – 3mm
  4. Add crop marks
  5. Safe area – 3mm
  6. Resolution – 300dpi
  7. Fonts – embedded
Extra Print Options

Variable Number Print:
Many of our NFC Products - from NFC Tags to NFC Cards and Industry NFC Tags - can benefit from Variable Number Print, which allows NFC Tags to be individually identified. We can print directly onto the surface of a Tag (in black), clearly displaying an ID which matches a Tag's encoding and allows it to be referenced quickly.
Depending on requirements, some of our customers require the printed number to be the 14 digit alphanumeric UID number that we would retrieve directly from the NFC chip (IC) itself, and then print this UID number on the surface of the NFC Product so you would be able to visibly see the number you would be scanning when using the NFC functionality.
To select the Variable Number Print option simply select 'Variable Number Print' in the drop down above and upload a file with the Variable Number Print sequence that you require printed. If you require the NFC chips UID to be printed rather than a specific sequence, please make this clear on the file you upload.

Variable QR Code Print:

Variable QR Code Print along with the NFC functionality on products gives users two options to retrieve information via either using a camera on the QR Code or tapping onto the NFC chip (IC). The information received from the user could be a simple URL or some text. Variable QR Code print also offers the easy individual identification of NFC Products, with the printing of an alphanumeric or numeric sequence. In this way, NFC QR Code Print allows for easy cross-referencing.
We require that customers send a spreadsheet with two simple columns - one for the QR Code information, and one for the data to be encoded (if required).
To select the Variable QR Code print option please select 'Variable QR Code Print' in the drop down above.

Barcode Print:
Barcode Print allows many of our NFC Products to be individually identified, displaying a sequence on your NFC Products. This offers an easy reference for a number of purposes. These alphanumeric or numeric sequences can vary according to each unique NFC Product.
We offer the choice of an NFC Barcode Print in a simple shortened format which allows for quick identification, or a longer version. To take advantage of our NFC Barcode Print service, all you need to do is send us a spreadsheet containing the barcode information.
